Marc Rosenzweig is a Jewish kid from the Bible Belt. He is a writer-producer-director-actor with a background in theater and a love for genre films. Marc is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he co-founded The Suspenders, the school's longest running sketch comedy troupe. His work in comedy has gained over a million views online and has been featured by Funny or Die. Currently Marc is directing, producing, and developing multiple projects as the Co-Founder and VP of Production for Zephyr Entertainment. Marc and Zephyr’s most recent projects include Seeking Shelter (Best Nature/ Environmental Documentary - Slamdance) and Capsules (Winner of the Stage 32 Short Film Contest). Recently, two of Marc's pilots placed as Semi-Finalists in the Stage 32 New Voices in Animation Screenwriting Competition.

Marc has directed short films and web-series that have screened in festivals across the country including Los Angeles Crime & Horror Film Festival, Crypticon Seattle, Diabolical Horror Film Festival, Northeast Film Festival Horror Fest, SketchFest Seattle, Longleaf Film Festival, and Worldfest Houston.

Marc's work as a writer is primarily focused on genre mashups, comedy, and horror.

Actor.

Marc discovered his love for story telling performing on stage. Marc grew up in the theater and by 16 had performed in over 20 plays and musicals. Recently, Marc’s work as an actor has aired on ID Network and Oxygen. Marc is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dramatic Arts and has studied improv at Second City Hollywood.

Kismet premiered at LA Shorts International Film Festival in 2019 and has gone on to screen at Mammoth Lakes Film Festival and Manhattan Film Festival. The project also won a Gold Remi for Best Original Drama at Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival and was a Finalist for the Stage32 Short Film Competition in 2020.

Logline: The kidnapping of a young girl in an isolated mountain town forces two female police officers -- one local, one state -- into a disturbing and polarizing investigation of the community.

Bum Promises

As a student at USC, Marc directed the world premiere of Bum Promises, a dramatic one act play. After graduating, Marc directed a short film adaptation of Bum Promises, which was shot on location in North Carolina and won a Gold Remi at Worldfest Houston 2018 for Best Dramatic Adaptation.

Capsules

Capsules premiered on Dust in 2018 and was a winner of the Stage32 Short Film Competition. The film screened at Raindance Film Festival and HollyShorts.

Logline: In a not so distant future, humans must take pharmaceuticals to feel any emotion at all. This is the story about two people who have been prescribed to take the next step in their relationship.
